A shingled house situated deep in the mountains shows the traces of time and nature, by holding the rain in its wooden shingles on rainy days, by shielding the snow on snowy days, and by breathing with the wind on windy days. This exhibition reinterprets the warmth and wisdom of shingled houses, which conformed to their given environment, making a new landscape. It aims to expand the traditional experience through works in the museum’s collection and reinterpretations of the collection by contemporary artists, offering the opportunity to contemplate the present within the past and to explore vanishing traditional culture within daily life.
